Fiesta Time in the Spanish Mountains Is a Rich Experience
Fiesta Tine in the Spanish Mountains is a rich experience. We recently experienced the generous hospitality of the Spanish people. We are wintering on the coast in Spain and haven't ye t made Spanish friendships here, but my daughter has a house in the mountains and her life is much different. She has made friends with several Spanish families. We were all invited to a village fiesta held out side a village church, flowers, beautifully arranged filled the little church, brought back from an earlier procession.
The people couldn't have been more generous, supplying us with, paella drinks and delicious cakes. One speciality was a leaf cake; like a doughnut covered in sugar but with a leaf inside, you had to eat it carefully without breaking the leaf. There were many Spanish delicacies which we were invited to try. Everyone brought contributions to the fiesta. Tables and chairs were set up around the church.
The venue was at the top of a hill with cars randomly parked along the way, The church Bell rang periodically throughout the afternoon obviously used for calling people from around.
The countryside was beautiful, being on top of a hill you could see for miles. There were some crumbling unused dwellings slipping into decay, their stone walls strewn about, also dotting the landscape were newly built beautiful homes.
At the tables people did their best to converse with us, but between us we only had a smattering of words and phrases, and in a mountain community virtually no-one speaks English. Still with signs and hand signals and much merriment we spent the afternoon sharing their food and hospitality.
In England, certainly where I have lived, the extended families have moved away and there is much less community spirit. It was an enjoyable experience seeing all the aunts uncles, and cousins all coming together.
This is our first winter in Spain. I am able to work anywhere with my laptop and affiliate marketing. I have time and location freedom, and have chosen the warmth of spanish winters, this year it has been 20 degrees or more nearly everyday, warmer than many English summers.
So if a change of lifestyle would suit you, you can live anywhere with affiliate marketing. With the guidance of a mentor and a tried and tested plan you can start to earn as you learn the techniques.
Start now and plan your future. Make 2016 a year to remember!
